What Can Breast Lift Surgery Address?
Breast Sagging
A breast lift can raise breasts that have dropped due to ageing, pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight fluctuations or natural changes to the breast tissue.
Nipple Position
The nipple and areola can be repositioned to a more appropriate position on the breast as part of the lift.
Breast Shape
A breast lift can reshape and improve the overall contour of the breasts by removing excess skin and repositioning the underlying breast tissue.
Breast Firmness
Removing excess skin and reshaping the breast tissue can create a firmer and more supported breast shape.

Vertical Breast Lift
Also known as a lollipop lift, this technique involves an incision around the areola and a vertical incision extending down towards the breast crease. It may be appropriate for patients with moderate breast sagging.
Anchor or Inverted-T Breast Lift
This technique involves an incision around the areola, a vertical incision down to the breast crease and a horizontal incision along the breast crease.
It may be recommended for patients with more significant breast sagging or excess skin.
Your surgeon will determine the most appropriate incision pattern based on your breast shape, skin quality, degree of sagging and desired outcome.
Breast Lift vs Breast Augmentation
A breast lift and breast augmentation are different procedures.
Breast lift surgery raises and reshapes the breasts without significantly increasing their volume.
Breast augmentation increases breast volume using implants.
Some patients may benefit from combining the two procedures. A breast lift with implants may be recommended where there is breast sagging together with a desire for additional breast volume or fullness.
Your surgeon will determine whether a breast lift alone or a breast lift combined with implants is appropriate for your anatomy and goals.

Before you travel, we collect your medical information and photographs and send these to your surgeon for a preliminary assessment. This allows the surgeon to review your case and provide an initial recommendation.

During your consultation in Thailand, your surgeon will:

Pre-Operative Assessment
Before surgery, the hospital will complete the medical assessments required for your procedure.
Depending on your age, medical history and individual circumstances, these may include:

Breast Lift Procedure
Breast lift surgery is performed under general anaesthesia.
The exact procedure will depend on your breast anatomy, degree of sagging, skin quality and surgical plan.
1. Anaesthesia
You will be placed under general anaesthesia before surgery begins.
2. Incision
The surgeon will determine the most appropriate incision pattern based on the amount of lifting required. The incision may be:
● Around the areola
● Around the areola with a vertical incision
● Around the areola with a vertical incision and an incision along the breast crease
3. Reshaping the Breast
The surgeon removes excess skin and reshapes and repositions the breast tissue to create the desired breast contour.
4. Repositioning the Nipple and Areola
Where required, the nipple and areola are repositioned to a more appropriate position on the breast.
5. Areola Reduction
If required, the surgeon may reduce the size of an enlarged areola as part of the procedure.
6. Additional Procedures
If breast augmentation or another additional procedure has been included in your surgical plan, this may be performed at the same time.
7. Closure
The incisions are carefully closed with appropriate sutures.
8. Recovery
You will be monitored in hospital following surgery and receive post-operative care according to your individual surgical plan.
Your Patient Coordinator will be with you on the day of surgery to provide support, answer questions and help ensure everything runs smoothly.
They will also assist you at discharge and throughout your recovery.
Compression Garments
A surgical or compression bra is recommended following breast lift surgery to support the breasts while they heal.
Compression bras or garments are not included in the standard package unless specifically stated in your quotation.
Your surgical team will advise you on the appropriate garment and how long it should be worn.
Breast Lift Scarring
Breast lift surgery requires incisions and therefore results in scars.
The location and extent of scarring depend on the surgical technique required.
Depending on your degree of breast sagging, scars may be:

● Around the areola and vertically down towards the breast crease
● Around the areola, vertically down the breast and along the breast crease
Scars initially appear more noticeable but generally mature and become less visible over time.
